catch

Picture
This game is adapted from the game by Sam Loyd.

Make a grid like this on the floor (paving slabs may be useful).  Divide the class into two teams.  Each team takes turns by standing a player on one of the dots.

You must not stand in line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) with a member of the opposite team otherwise they can move along the line and catch you.  You can catch more than one player in a single move.

Once in place, players only move if they can catch someone.

The winning team catches the most players.
